Boston Celtics Jerseys
Eighteen championships — more than any other NBA franchise — and a green identity that has survived every era of the league.

The short version
Boston is one of the NBA's founding franchises, established in 1946, and has played in the same city for its entire existence. TD Garden has been home since 1995, following the Boston Garden era that gave the club's 1960s dynasty its stage.
Eighteen championships, the most in league history. Eleven of them came between 1957 and 1969, including a run of eight consecutive titles — a record in North American professional sport that is unlikely to be approached. Three more arrived in the 1980s, one in 2008, and the eighteenth in 2024.

What they have won
Every number here comes straight from the record books, with the years that made it happen.
One green, and eight straight championships
Boston has kept a single colour for its entire existence and has won more championships than any other NBA franchise. The retro problem is deciding which of several greens you want.
The Celtics are the easiest club in the league to identify by colour alone, and the hardest to date. Green has been the base since 1946, and what varies is the shade: the club's early look was a deeper, more saturated green, the 1960s-80s designs sat in a slightly brighter register, and the modern look sits somewhere between the two. None of those differences will be obvious across a room, but they are the single most useful thing to look at when comparing two Celtics listings, because trim width, collar shape and the exact green are what separate a 1985 design from a current one.
Eight consecutive championships between 1959 and 1966 is the run that made the green famous, and the numbers from that team are why Celtics retro shirts are so sought after today. #6 and #33 belong to that era, and #33 in particular is worn by enough people across enough decades that a vintage Larry Bird shirt is one of the more recognisable pieces of basketball memorabilia in existence. Boston's custom block is also unusually large in our range, which reflects a fanbase that buys both the history and the personalised version of the same shirt.
The story so far
The 2025-26 season produced 56 wins and a second-place finish in the Eastern Conference. Boston's season ended before the Finals, but the 56-win mark kept the club among the league's most consistent regular-season teams for a fourth straight year.
We list 125 Celtics items. City and statement designs dominate the range, with customisable pieces the next largest block — an unusually high share, and consistent with a fanbase that buys named and numbered product. Swingman, Statement, or Custom?
Every league names its cuts differently. Here is the plain-English version of what the words on each listing mean.
The classic fan cut — twill numbers, athletic taper, the silhouette you see on court.
Alternate designs and city editions, carried alongside the standard colourways.
Hardwood-era designs brought back for the current roster.
Blank shells with your own name and number, printed to order.

Sizes and who they are for
How the cuts fit in practice, and what to do when you are on the boundary.
Most listings run true to size with an athletic cut. If you wear a medium tee, a medium jersey is the usual call.
Size up for a looser match-day fit, or stay down for a closer cut under a hoodie.
Both are carried in selected editions and sized on their own charts — the listing page shows the break.
Care guide
Five minutes of care keeps a printed or stitched shirt looking new for years. These are the steps that actually matter — the rest is optional.
| Step | What to do | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Wash | Turn the shirt inside out and wash cold, on a normal or gentle cycle, with a mild detergent. Wash it with other darks. | Heat and detergent are what break down screen-printed ink and loosen heat-bonded numbers. Inside-out protects the graphic from abrasion. |
| 2 · No bleach, no softener | Skip chlorine bleach and fabric softener. If a shirt needs brightening, use an oxygen-based cleaner and check the care label first. | Softener leaves a film on the print that traps dirt, and bleach will fade the colours and eat into stitching over time. |
| 3 · Dry low or air dry | Air dry flat or on a hanger. If you have to use a dryer, use low heat for a short cycle and take it out while slightly damp. | High tumble heat is the single biggest cause of shrinking and warped twill numbers. Drying damp and shaping by hand avoids both. |
| 4 · Iron inside out | Iron the shirt inside out on a low setting, or press a cloth over the graphic. Never iron directly onto a number, name or crest. | Direct heat and steam lift the edge of a print and can melt heat-bonded lettering. Inside out puts the heat on the fabric, not the graphic. |
| 5 · Store it properly | Fold or hang in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not leave a shirt in a car or an attic over a season. | Sunlight fades colours unevenly and heat in a parked car or loft will yellow the fabric. A dark, dry storage spot is the whole job. |

Common questions
How many championships have the Celtics won?
Eighteen — the most of any NBA franchise. Eight of them came consecutively between 1959 and 1966, and the most recent was in 2024.
When were the Celtics founded and where do they play?
1946, and they are one of the NBA's original franchises. Home games have been played at TD Garden since 1995.
How did the 2025-26 season go?
Boston won 56 games and finished second in the Eastern Conference.
How many Celtics items do you list?
125 at the last check. Customisable pieces make up an unusually large share of the range.
Why do so many Celtics designs use the same green?
Because the club's identity is built on it. What changes between editions is the placement of white and gold trim, the collar and the exact tone of the green. Those details are visible on the product image, so check it if you want a specific era.
Do you carry shirts from the 1980s era?
The range includes retro and vintage pieces where they exist in stock — see the edition table above. Availability changes, so the listing is the accurate answer rather than this page.
